1960 - The company was founded under the name of Kent Latex Products specializing in the manufacturing of dipped natural rubber latex tubing.
1975 - As the latex tubing business grew so did Kent Latex Products which necessitated a new facility being built in Winesburg, Ohio.
1979 - Kent Latex was purchased by Meridian Industries Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and became one of five current operating companies.
1988 - The company expanded its capabilities into extrusion and the manufacturing of soft, flexible, thermoplastic tubing. This, in addition to its dip molding capabilities, helped to further complement the growing and diverse product offerings of Kent Latex Products.
1998 - Realizing they were more than just a latex tubing manufacturer, the company changed its name to Kent Elastomer Products, Inc. (KEP).
2001 - KEP purchased Precision Latex Inc., a company specializing in the manufacturing of dip molded products. This acquisition allowed the company to expand its dip molding operations in meeting those small to medium run batch application requirements of its customers.
2002 - KEP moved its extrusion operations to a new state-of-the-art facility in Mogadore, Ohio. The move enabled the company to meet the increasing requirements of their customers and position itself for future growth.
2006 - KEP again expanded its range of products when it acquired the dip molded product line from Hospira, Inc. This acquisition added synthetic polyisoprene to KEP's line of non-latex materials.
