Lean Enterprise
Kent Elastomer Products began a culture change in 2006 with the implementation of Lean Enterprise. Lean Enterprise is an improvement strategy based on removing waste from all aspects of our business. All managers and supervisors have been certified in Lean Mastery and every employee has been trained in the Lean concepts. We conduct "kaizens" (improvement projects) each month at all three of our facilities and over 85% of our employees have participated in at least one event. We believe Lean is a never ending process that allows us to meet our mission statement of exceeding our customer's expectations by providing the highest level of quality and service. Food Safety Audits
Since 2003, Kent Elastomer Products has participated in periodic third-party food safety audits at our Mogadore, Ohio extrusion facility. The audits are 
conducted by ASI Food Safety Consultants to evaluate the overall compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) for food safety and sanitation. ASI's audit program is "dedicated to continuous improvement and maintenance of a high level of sanitation and food safety, with emphasis on preventative programs."
HACCP
In 2008, Kent Elastomer Products chose to implement a HACCP program at our Mogadore, Ohio extrusion facility. HACCP stands for "Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point" and is a management tool for analyzing and controlling potential hazards and for producing the safest products possible. This voluntary, proactive endeavor is another example of Kent Elastomer Product's commitment to continuous improvement and to product safety.
