In 2016, one of our loyal food and beverage customers complained of receiving their finished product in damaged boxes. The boxes of our product were being handled roughly by the freight company, but we knew we could work out a solution on our end that could help them receive a better packaged product.
We took steps to increase packaging strength—procuring a corrugated box company to help us develop a tougher box.
- We changed our pallet packaging so that the pallet could not be easily stacked.
- We added multiple layers of shrink wrap for added durability.
- We purchased cones to sit on top of the pallet to prevent double stacking.
- We began taking photos of every pallet prior to shipping to send to our customer.
Since these new processes were implemented, the customer has consistently received the product in great condition. At KEP, our customers’ satisfaction is what we are dedicated to!
