FOOD & BEVERAGE GRADE TUBING

Products The Food and Beverage Industry Trusts

Food is a vital element of so many important memories and experiences: nachos at the ballgame, creamer in the perfect cup of coffee, iced tea on a hot day, and many more. Many of these products are delivered by a network of high-quality tubes, made from top-quality materials. With our robust portfolio of food and beverage tubing options, KEP is the trusted name behind many of these delicious experiences.

KEP is proud to offer a vast range of customization options for food and beverage tubing. We can fine-tune virtually every specification of your tubing to meet your exact needs, including:

  • Inner diameter.
  • Outer diameter.
  • Thickness.
  • Length.
  • And more.

You don’t have to modify your existing system based on the standard tubing options available on the market. KEP can create a custom solution that works for you and your operation.

KEP also offers multiple material options for food and beverage tubing. This gives you the flexibility to choose the right material for your food or beverage product, the temperature of the service environment, desired material properties, and more. Our proprietary elastomer compounds are compliant with NSF and USP Class VI standards, and our facilities meet the stringent requirements of the FDA and ISO 9001:2015.

We offer three different materials for for food and beverage tubing:

Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) Tubing

TPE tubing is translucent, with a matte finish, and has a soft, rubbery feel. We offer three different TPE compounds for food and beverage tubing, each of which meets FDA food-grade requirements. Our TPE compounds are free of BPA and phthalates and can withstand service temperatures from -40° to 195°F.

Thermoplastic Vulcanizates (TPV) Tubing

TPV tubing is generally an opaque tan color, with a matte finish. Our TPV compounds offer superior long-term resistance to hot heat, oil, dairy products, and hot fluids. We offer three different TPV compounds for food and beverage tubing. You can choose your compound based on your need for FDA, NSF51, and NSF61 compliance.

Natural Rubber Latex Tubing

Natural rubber latex tubing has a translucent amber color and a smooth finish. Our premier natural rubber latex compound offers a variety of attractive properties, including excellent gripping power, abrasion resistance, and ease of sterilization. Natural rubber latex tubing remains flexible at a wide range of temperatures, from -60°F to steam sterilization heat levels. Natural rubber tubing also has excellent memory characteristics, even after repeated stretching.

KEP also offers crimping for all three of these tubing compounds. Crimped tubing is ideal for protecting food and beverage products from contaminants and maintaining sterilization until the product is ready for use. And crimped tubing is very user-friendly: The crimped end can simply be cut at the appropriate time.

Food and Beverage Tubing Applications

Tubing has virtually unlimited applications in the food and beverage industry. From industrial kitchens to self-serve food courts, tubing can offer an elegant solution for delivering a food or beverage product to its intended destination, whether that’s a plate, a mug, or a cup.

Food Tubing

Many liquid food products can be dispensed via tubing. Nacho cheese and ketchup at a cafeteria, stadium concessions stand, or movie theater are just a few examples. Food-grade tubing allows for efficient, convenient dispensing and significant control of the size of the portion. Tubing is also excellent for allowing customers to dispense their own food without making direct contact with the food substance, which is excellent for cleanliness and ease of use.

Beverage Tubing

Though it may be invisible to the untrained eye, beverage tubing is everywhere. The soda fountain at a restaurant and the coffee creamer dispenser at the gas station, for example, rely on sterile, durable tubing to deliver the product to the customer’s cup. Like food tubing, beverage tubing is a convenient way to deliver fluids and liquids.
