Free-Band® Tourniquets

KEP manufactures safe, non-latex alternatives to medical tourniquet band products to prevent allergic reactions in individuals with latex sensitivities.

Free-Band® non-latex surgical tourniquet band

KEP Free-Band® non-latex surgical tourniquet bands are made from a proprietary blend of materials only available through KEP. Our material blend is specially formulated to mimic the physical properties of latex, such as excellent stretch, easy tying and untying, and good grip on the skin. The result is a latex-free tourniquet that’s easy to use and comfortable for the patient—without the concerns of latex sensitivities or allergies.

Our dedication to patient safety doesn’t stop there. All the materials in our proprietary blend are subject to United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Class VI testing. Class VI testing is a strict, rigorous protocol that involves short- and long-duration test periods to ensure that no harmful chemicals will leach from the material and cause bodily reactions in the user or the patient. Our Free-Band® non-latex tourniquet bands are safe for short-term use, such as a quick blood draw, or prolonged contact, such as a platelet donation.

Additionally, our Free-Band® medical tourniquets are made for single use, so you can reduce the risk of cross contamination, even in a busy healthcare setting. You can choose between multiple packaging options, including notch-cut reels and rolled tourniquets, so it’s easy to grab just one at a time.

Our latex-free medical tourniquets are available in a wide range of colors, sizes, and packaging options.

Tourniquets Applications

Free-Band® non-latex surgical tourniquet bands are an essential, everyday product for medical professionals. Healthcare providers use Free-Band® medical tourniquet rolls for patient IV prep and blood draws in hospitals, doctors’ offices, and research laboratories. Staff at blood donation centers and blood banks also use Free-Band® tourniquet bands for blood, plasma, and platelet donations.

In the medical and surgical industry, latex sensitivities and cross-contamination issues can be a significant concern. That’s why Free-Band® tourniquet bands are non-latex and disposable. Thanks to a proprietary non-latex material blend, both patients and staff with sensitivities are protected from latex exposure while using our tourniquet bands. And because our bands are single-use, the risk of cross contamination is greatly reduced. Using our medical tourniquet bands keeps patients safe and gives medical professionals peace of mind.
