Earth Day is coming up on Monday, April 22nd! From green manufacturing practices to continual efforts for energy savings in our facilities, KEP is always finding ways to reduce our environmental impact and run more efficiently. We sustain a level of excellence in environmental stewardship that helps reduce our use of resources so that we can pass along savings that affect our customers’ bottom-line.
KEP has won several awards for our energy initiatives, including Ohio EPA’s Silver and Gold Level E3 awards. Ohio EPA’s Encouraging Environmental Excellence (E3) Program recognizes an organization’s exceptional achievements in environmental stewardship. Since 2007, Kent Elastomer Products has taken green efforts to reduce electric usage by 10%, water usage by 47%, and decrease dumpster pick-ups by 77% – meanwhile, our company has grown by 30%!
