Latex Tubing Products

KEP is the only manufacturer of natural rubber latex tubing in the United States.
We have three facilities. Our Kent, Ohio location produces latex, both tubing and custom dip molding. Our Mogadore, Ohio plant produces extruded products and works with TPE, PVC, TPU and other non-latex and silicone alternative compounds. Our Winesburg, Ohio facility handles assembly, product processing and inspection.

Since 1960 Kent Elastomer Products has manufactured quality natural latex tubing for customers in the medical and surgical industry, food and beverage industry, orthodontics industry, sports and leisure industry and beyond.

Leading companies continue to trust our latex tubing products for generations because of great qualities like superior flexibility, tight tolerances, and outstanding resilience. This is coupled with our ability to respond to our customers’ needs with efficiency and manufacture to their exacting specifications.

We can manufacture latex tubing products that fit your custom specifications, like our latex tubing that meets FDA food grade requirements or natural rubber latex compounds that can withstand oils, UV light, ozone and more specific applications.

Made-in-America quality and effective partnerships are what choosing to manufacture latex tubing products with KEP means. From prototype to packaged product and beyond, we want to be your partner. We are here to make sure your product delivers consistent quality and that our manufacturing process fits within your budget and timeline.

Natural Rubber Latex Tubing Compounds

An environmentally friendly material and biodegradable material, natural rubber latex refers to the white sap that is harvested from live hevea brasiliensis trees. Refining and compounding this sap renders it easier to process and optimizes its physical properties, like outstanding flexibility and enhanced tear properties.

We also extensively leach, wash, and surface-treat our latex tubing, thereby reducing protein levels below the limit of detection as measured by FDA-recognized test methods ASTM D5712 and ASTM D6499. All materials in our latex compounds also meet the recommended safe levels as specified in the U.S. FDA Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Food and Drug Administration and have been used in medical applications for over 30 years. KEP Latex Tubing Product Solutions

Natural rubber latex rubber tubing can be greatly affected by sunlight and ozone, so it is generally not recommended for outdoor use. But we went to work to find a solution for this. KEP created the natural rubber tubing product, K911. This product has a protective topcoat that reduces breakage, and protects from damaging oils, ozone and UV light – tripling the life of the natural rubber tubing.

KEP latex tubing product solutions are created by a unique dipping process that increases smoothness and eliminates die lines and seams on I.D. and O.D. surfaces. The consistency of the translucency and uniformity of color gives our customers in the medical and surgical industry and others unobstructed view of the liquid flow line. Superior sterilization properties also make it a great fit for all industries where sterilization is key because it is compatible with steam, ETO or gamma radiation.

Tell us about what your industry demands – we’re here to manufacture the latex tubing products that you need, efficiently and effectively. Coupled with conveniences like design, custom packaging, labeling, and inventory management, we aim to provide the best solutions possible.
